Benjamin H. Watkins, (“Ben”) is a founder and owner of Cook & Watkins PLC and native of Louisville, Kentucky, practicing from our Louisville office. Ben graduated from Louisville’s DuPont Manual High School in 2002, Lexington Kentucky’s Transylvania University in 2006 (majoring in political science and minoring in business administration), and from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2009. After sitting for and passing the summer 2009 Bar exam, Ben began practicing as an attorney with Mosley, Sauer, Townes & Watkins, PLLC in 2009, where he benefitted from the experience of practicing alongside and being mentored by his father, attorney Stephen Watkins. Ben successfully handles divorce, real estate, eviction, general contract and negotiation, and corporate law matters, but focuses his practice especially on the related areas of estate and tax planning and probate administration. Ben is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Louisville, loves tailoring estate and tax plans to each unique person, family, or small business, and believes that experience, legal and local knowledge, a diverse legal background, and compassion allow him to give exceptional representation to probate clients. Ben is an extremely proud husband and father and is a family focused person. He and family are members of Highland Presbyterian Church in Louisville.
